The area around Boiziller

Nature reigns supreme in this beautiful corner of France. You'll find plenty of cycling paths and hiking trails, ideal for walks through the heart of the Vendée countryside.

For example, pleasant routes start from Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure, the highest village in the Vendée, right next to our guesthouse near Puy du Fou.

Notable castles

The Vendée region offers a fascinating heritage. Less than 20 minutes from our house, you can explore the Château de Tiffauges, famous for its connection to Gilles de Rais, a hero of the Hundred Years' War.

You can also visit the Château de Pouzauges, a treasure from the medieval period. Don't miss the Château de Saint-Mesmin and its many activities, or the Château des Essarts, which will delight visitors of all ages with its leisure park.

The Oriental Park of Maulévrier

Immerse yourself in a unique world, just 25 minutes from your accommodation. The Oriental Park of Maulévrier is the largest Japanese garden in Europe. Stroll among remarkable plant species in a place that showcases the natural heritage of Japan.

The sea is just steps away

While staying at Le Boiziller, you can also enjoy the delights of the Atlantic Coast. Whether in Les Sables-d'Olonne (1 hour away) or La Tranche-sur-Mer (1 hour 10 minutes away), you can enjoy pleasant walks along the seafront. Relaxation, swimming, and water sports can also be part of your itinerary!

The Chabotterie Lodge

About thirty minutes from Boiziller, you'll discover the Logis de la Chabotterie. It immerses you in the past through a visit to the building and gardens. You'll appreciate this historic site, which notably witnessed the event that brought an end to the War in the Vendée: the arrest of General Charette.
